Hey everyone,
In this weeks transcription we have a Deftones track from the album ‘Saturday Night Wrist’ featuring the late Chi Cheng on bass. There are many excellent Chi Cheng lines to choose from but I particularly like both the overall ‘vibe’ of the line and the way that the low A remains the same while putting different upper passages over top of it, a technique that a lot of the great rock bass players use within their lines.
I’ve transcribed this for 5 string tuning but as the lowest note is D, those of you playing 4 strings will be able to tune to drop D!
